Krohn Gold Electroplating Solution 14 Karat Yellow 1 DWT Fine Gold 1 Quart

KROHN READY-TO-USE GOLD ELECTROPLATING SOLUTION

Contains 1 penny weight of gold per quart and the appropriate amount of free-cyanide to impart a bright gold electroplate.

Articles must be clean before plating. Extra care is necessary to insure the removal of all polishing rogue, oil, grease, and fingerprints. For the best results, pieces should be electrocleaned using KROHN TIVACLEAN or KROHN HEAVY DUTY ELECTROCLEANER followed by a cold distilled water rinse.

Plate articles using an insoluble stainless steel anode at 130 - 140 F (55-60C) using 2-4 volts for 15 to 30 seconds or until the desired coverage and color are obtained. Overplating will darken the color. Rinse the plated articles thoroughly in distilled water and dry. Water is lost in bath due to evaporation. Use distilled water to maintain level of bath.

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

Prevention: Keep out or reach of children. Avoid breathing mist/vapors/spray. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, smoke or drink when using this product. Use only well-ventilated areas. Avoid release to the environment. Wear protective gloves/ protective clothing/ eye protection/ face protection.

Response: IF SWALLOWED: immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician. Rinse mouth. IF ON SKIN or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue resining. Call a POISON CENTER/doctor/physician if you feel unwell. Specific treatment: see Antidot below. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.


Antidote: If breathing is difficult or victim is unconscious, administer amyl nitrite. See Safety Data Sheet for full details.

Storage and Disposal: Store locked up. Dispose of contents/container to an approved waste disposal plant; precious metal reclamation should be considered.
